Technical Support Engineer (Front Desk)

Job Duties:

  •  

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide post-sales support to users and follow-up issues on all IT aspects including hardware, software and system network
    • Log calls and follow up issue with traceable records in the Service desk portal
    • Provide first line technical support for IT issues and ad-hoc IT-related tasks
    • Prioritize and manage multiple support tickets
    • Escalate to Tier 2 service team to meet the agreed SLA on time
    • Liaise with vendors for troubleshooting via emails / phone calls / IM applications
    • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Engineering and Internal support teams
    • Liaise between user support and backend for plan maintenance task during and beyond office hours as required
    • Learn new technologies and provide training to internal users and customers
    • Consolidate project incidents and prepare for monthly review presentation

     

    Requirements:

    • Associate Degree or Higher Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related disciplines
    • 3 years of Experience providing technical / telecom support service in customer services or help desk
    • Knowledge of hardware, software, and network troubleshooting
    • Good command of both written and spoken English and Cantonese.
    • Interest in joining the telecommunication industry and willing to learn
    • Good in problem solving and communication skills
    • Self-initiative, teamwork and passionate working attitude
    • On-shift support phone is required (3-4 team members on roster)
