Technical Support Engineer

Job Duties:

  • PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provide first line technical support to staff across different regions (in person or remotely) by logging, updating, and resolving helpdesk tickets in a timely manner.
    • Prioritize and solve problems where possible, set customer expectations for follow-up and escalate tickets to higher levels where appropriate.
    • Perform daily IT operational tasks, such as password reset, account unlocking, IT equipment loan arrangement, IT services monitoring & report, etc.
    • Install and configure a company’s computer hardware operations systems and applications.
    • Diagnose and solve hardware and software problems.
    • Coordinate issues/problems with external vendors to resolve technical issues in hardware/software/network connectivity.
    • Responsible for general housekeeping of IT equipment, maintaining and keeping hardware inventory up to date.
    • Assist the IT manager with IT procurement and invoice processing.
    • Coordinate and follow up on tasks/projects assigned by the IT Manager.

     

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

    • Microsoft Certificate Systems Engineer Designation or relevant qualification preferred.
    • ITIL/ITIL Foundation Certificate Holder preferred.
    • 3+ years of experience working in a help-desk and technical support environment.
    • Good team player, proactive, excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
    • Customer-oriented and patient.
    • Ability to multi-task & prioritize.
    • Solid hands-on experience in supporting Windows 10/11, MacOS, MS Office Apps, OneDrive, SharePoint,
    • Teams, Azure AD, Active Directory, Exchange Server, etc.
    • Knowledge of Amazon AWS & Alibaba Cloud platform.
    • Knowledge of Windows Server Management & basic network troubleshooting skills
