Laboratory of Data Discovery for Health Limited

Job Duties:
Applications are invited for appointment as Application Developer/Senior Application Developer, to commence as soon as possible for up to two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
The appointee will join the Laboratory of Data Discovery for Health (D24H), a start-up company incorporated by The University of Hong Kong (HKU) that is led by senior faculty members of the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine at HKU. The D24H sets to play pivotal role in gathering and curating massive, unique data resources and to develop new, deep, frontier analytics in protecting global public health and improving individual healthcare through precision medicine.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the design, development, implementation and testing of mobile applications in iOS;
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications are met;
- Assist and guide colleagues on system design and development;
- Collaborate with teammates to deliver the services and meet project milestones and deadlines; and
- Communicate with project team(s) or clients to gather requirement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines with at least 3 years experiences in mobile application development in iOS;
- Proficiency in Swift is a must;
- Experience in RESTful API, SDK would be highly preferable;
- Familiar with different mobile development platforms such as Flutter will be an advantage; and
- Good communication skills and problem-solving skills.
Applicants with more experience may be considered for appointment as Senior Application Developer.
